CHRISTIAN UNITY
My hope and my prayer is the same as the prayer that Jesus
offered to the Father in John 17, especially versus 20-21, that
we may all be one just as the Father is in Jesus and Jesus is in
the Father. This "oneness" is by necessity a complete oneness
and can not be achieved until we all accept, believe and practice
the same truths of the Faith. After all, Jesus and the Father
could not be one unless they were in perfect agreement on all
things at all times.
As Christians we are called to do everything that we do in the
name of the Lord Jesus (Col 3:17). As Catholics, we are reminded
of this in an outward way when we begin our prayers and our daily
activities with the Sign of the Cross.
And so we begin this session in the name of the Father, and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
